When you work out, do you often find that sweat gets into your eyes? It’s not a great sensation, with the stinging that won’t seem to go away, and Doctor Becerra struggles with this frequently! Recently he found a new band that keeps the sweat out of his eyes in a different sort of way, and he’s found that it really works. When he does a hard workout, the band is a huge help so he doesn’t have to repeatedly stop and wipe off his forehead and eyes.
Here’s one in honor of the Fourth of July a few weeks ago!
The band, from Halo Headband Sports Headwear, works a bit differently than most headbands. Instead of just absorbing sweat and then eventually needing to be wrung out, it catches the sweat on a ledge and then channels it away from your eyes and forehead. Even though it will drip down the back of your head, at least it’s not stinging your eyes!
Doctor Becerra has been using them for a few weeks now, and he definitely recommends them. He prefers to do high intensity but shorter workouts, using programs like Insanity, instead of longer and more moderate workouts. But with the intense bursts of activity like that, he definitely works up a sweat.
This is what it looks like when he’s done:
Cool, isn’t it? Imagine all of that dripping into his eyes instead!
You can get the bands online, with the link in the second paragraph leading to the full website. They offer many different styles and colors, but Doctor Becerra uses the Halo II Pullover Headband. Another band that would work, more specifically for women, is the hair band; it’s much thinner at either a half inch or a full inch, and it would work with a ponytail without slipping around due to the gripping technology of the bands.
