A few days ago on the blog, we talked about the benefits of orthotics, and why they can be helpful for almost anyone. Orthotics are for support, and when you’re going through chiropractic treatment to correct misalignments, support is a big help! We have offered orthotics in the office before, but recently we switched to a new company with equal quality, but lower prices. The new Super Step orthotics can be a great addition to care, or simply part of a wellness lifestyle.

Super Step Orthotics

In the office, we carry the standard model of orthotics. They’re premolded, so with each person we adjust and cut down the size as needed. We also have a special for the Step supports – $59 for one pair, or $89 for two pair. When you compare the price to orthotics you find in stores, they’re very similar! A pair of Dr. Scholl’s orthotics, with the specific number you get after standing on their machine, will be about $55 after tax.

If the premolded orthotics don’t work for you, we also offer custom made orthotics. Sometimes, patients need orthotics molded specifically to their foot to support their unique tread.

Our Experience with Super Step Orthotics

When we received our first shipment of the Step orthotics, Doctor Becerra put a pair in Michelle and Sherry’s shoes so they could try them out and give their input. Both agree that they notice a difference while wearing them!

Sherry has high arches, so the orthotics helped give her support by filling in the space between the arch of her shoe and her foot. Michelle seconded the arch support, and also mentioned that it brings comfort to her metatarsals (the ball and middle of the foot) and her legs and feet don’t hurt as much.

As for me, I’m waiting for our second shipment, as Sherry and I have the same shoe size and we only had one pair in that size! I tend to walk on the outside of my feet, and I have flat arches. Usually I notice some soreness in my ankles, knees, and hips, so I’m looking forward to seeing if the orthotics make a difference, as I’m sure they will!

Next time you’re in the office, ask Dr. Becerra if Super Step orthotics would be beneficial for you!
